The Barley Benchmark - Canadian Malt Barley Technical Centre

The Barley Benchmark is a national initiative, supported by Alberta Grains, to collect real-world production data from Canadian barley growers to strengthen the industry’s position in global markets. With brewers and maltsters setting sustainability targets, this project provides the credible, science-backed data needed to showcase the quality and responsible practices behind Canadian barley.

Growers who participate in the survey will help build a trusted dataset that reduces the burden of repetitive reporting and supports long-term market opportunities.
