Farm Implement and Dealership Act Regulation Consultation

This spring, the Farmers’ and Property Rights Advocate Office (FAO) undertook a review of elements of the Farm Implement Regulation. Amendments to the Regulation include administrative changes to a form, and updates to farm equipment and warranty exemptions.

Alberta Grains submitted a response under the guidance of our directors and delegates. The commission voiced the need for continued safeguards to protect grain farmers in this important investment for their operation. In addition, we noted the right-to-repair legislation before the Canadian Senate (Bill C-244) and expressed our continued support for this impactful piece of legislation.
