Alberta Grains implemented its fifth year of on-farm research through the Plot2Farm program during the 2024 growing season. Producers across the province initiated trials investigating fungicide timing, enhanced efficiency fertilizers, seeding rate, the use of a plant growth regulator, and a new protocol was developed for humic substances.

In addition to trials, Alberta Grains collaborated with Quattro Farms Inc. and Farming Smarter for a local field day held at Bow Island, AB. An additional field day was held at Mackenzie Applied Research Association at Fort Vermilion, AB. At both events, producers were able to see trials firsthand, while hearing from experts about on-farm research techniques.
